Make a current gift with an IRA charitable rollover
Looking for a great way to make a tax-free gift to Georgetown Visitation? Consider an IRA charitable rollover. A tax-smart way to make a difference for our students and the future of Visitation. Here’s how.

  • You must be 70 ½ years old or older at the time of the gift
  • Gifts must go directly from your IRA to Georgetown Visitation
  • Gifts must come from a traditional or Roth IRA account
  • Total charitable gifts cannot exceed $ 108,000 per taxpayer in 2025

You will save on income taxes as the IRA charitable rollover will count toward your annual required minimum distribution but is not included in your taxable income, making the gift tax-free to you.  You will not receive an income tax deduction.

Make a beneficiary designation now for a gift in the future

If you’d like to create a legacy without parting with any assets now, consider designating Visitation as a beneficiary of your retirement plan assets, such as your IRA, 401(k), or 403(b). You do not need to modify your will or living trust to leave a gift of this type, and you can name the school as the sole beneficiary or one of several plans. This allows you to give, while still providing for family and loved ones and receiving significant tax advantages.
